Research The Foundation has sponsored archival research at both the State Jewish Museum in Prague and the Terezín National Monument in the Czech Republic. We have also recorded oral history from survivors who either attended or performed in Theresienstadt concerts.
We continue to actively sponsor research in the Czech Republic, Israel, Germany and the United States. Due to the deterioration of manuscripts and documents in central and eastern Europe, and age of camp survivors, this work is of urgent importance. We also hope to uncover still more "lost" music, photographs and letters, as these pieces of history may act as catalysts for further exploration by artists, musicologists and historians.
The Foundation is sponsoring the editing and publication of chamber works. Many of these, heretofore unpublished, will become available for performance. Under the supervision of the Foundation, the complete string quartets of Pavel Haas have been edited and published.
