Uplifting holiday music

We offer you the lively "Furiant" movement from Concertino for Flute, Viola, and Bass by Erwin Schulhoff, who wanted music to bring "an ecstatic change for the better." We wish you health, peace, and moments of serenity and joy as we look forward with hope.

This track appears on the Northeastern CD titled "Silenced Voices: Victims of the Holocaust," produced by Terezín Music Foundation. It is performed by members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra: the late Fenwick Smith, flute; Mark Ludwig, viola (emeritus); Edwin Barker, bass.
